Everything you need to know about VetNavigator AI — for VSO leaders considering the platform and current customers.
About VetNavigator
What is VetNavigator AI?
VetNavigator AI is a chatbot platform built specifically for Veterans Service Organizations like VFW posts, American Legion posts, and DAV chapters. It gives veterans instant, 24/7 access to VA benefits guidance — covering topics like disability compensation, healthcare, GI Bill, home loans, and more. You install it on your website or share a chat page link, and your veterans can start getting answers right away.
Who is VetNavigator designed for?
VetNavigator is designed for VSO leaders and post commanders who want to better serve their veteran members. You're the customer — your veterans are the end users. The chatbot is branded to your organization and embedded on your website or shared as a link, so veterans get help that feels like it's coming from their own post.
How does the chatbot help veterans?
Veterans can ask questions about VA benefits in plain language — things like "Am I eligible for disability compensation?" or "How do I apply for the GI Bill?" The chatbot provides accurate, up-to-date guidance and walks them through next steps. It covers disability claims, healthcare enrollment, education benefits, home loans, pension, family benefits, and more. If a veteran needs personal help beyond what the chatbot covers, it connects them directly to your VSO counselor.
Is VetNavigator a replacement for VSO counselors?
No — and that's by design. VetNavigator handles the general education and guidance that every veteran needs: "What benefits am I eligible for?" "How does the claims process work?" "What documents do I need?" This frees up your counselors to focus on what only a human can do — filing claims, attending hearings, and providing personalized advocacy. The chatbot always encourages veterans to work with their VSO counselor for personal case support.
What topics does the chatbot cover?
The full topic list depends on your plan, but even the Basic plan covers the most-requested categories: disability compensation, GI Bill education benefits, VA home loans, and VA healthcare. Higher plans unlock additional topics like PACT Act/burn pit claims, vocational rehab, DIC for surviving spouses, TDIU, VA pension, mental health resources, dental and vision, burial benefits, and more. What languages does the chatbot support?
The chatbot supports 8 languages total — English (always available) plus 7 selectable non-English languages: Spanish, Vietnamese, Korean, Filipino, Chinese (Mandarin), Arabic, and French. Available languages depend on your plan: Basic and Starter support English by default, with multilingual support available as an add-on (choose 3 of 7 languages, +$25/mo). Standard includes 5 of 7 languages free. Premium includes all 7 languages automatically.

Yes — the Basic plan includes a free 14-day trial. You get full access to the Basic plan features with no credit card required upfront. At the end of the trial, you choose whether to continue with Basic or upgrade to a higher plan.
How do I upgrade my plan?
You can upgrade anytime from your Admin Panel — click the "Manage Subscription" button to open your account portal. From there, you can switch plans, change billing frequency, or update your payment method. Upgrades take effect immediately, and you're only charged the prorated difference for the rest of your current billing cycle. No need to reinstall anything — your chatbot automatically unlocks the new features.
How do I cancel my subscription?
You can cancel anytime from your Admin Panel by clicking "Manage Subscription." There are no cancellation fees or long-term contracts. Your chatbot will continue to work through the end of your current billing period.
Setup & Installation
How long does setup take?
Most organizations are up and running in under 10 minutes. Our onboarding flow walks you through entering your organization's info, and your chatbot is live immediately — you get a shareable chat page link right away. If you also want to install the chatbot on your website, that's one line of code pasted into your site footer.
Do I need technical skills to install it?
No. If you can copy and paste, you can install VetNavigator. We provide visual step-by-step guides for WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, Weebly, and GoDaddy. If you don't have a website at all, that's fine too — you get a hosted chat page link you can share on Facebook, in emails, or in newsletters. And if you get stuck, just email ops@vetnavigator.ai and we'll help you get set up.
How do I install the chatbot on my website?
Paste one line of code into your website's footer area, just before the closing </body> tag. It looks like this:
Your unique key is provided during onboarding. Once installed, a chat button appears in the bottom-right corner of your website, and veterans can start chatting immediately.
Can I add the chatbot to multiple websites?
Each license covers one website install. If you need the chatbot on multiple sites, contact us and we'll get you set up.
Managing Your Chatbot
What is the Admin Panel and how do I access it?
The Admin Panel is a management tool inside your chatbot (available on Starter plans and above) where you can update your organization's info — hours, events, leadership, phone number, and more. Changes save instantly and go live immediately. Your personalized Admin Panel link is included in your welcome email after onboarding. Veterans cannot see or access the Admin Panel.
How do I update my organization's info?
Open your Admin Panel (see above), edit the fields you want to change — office hours, upcoming events, leadership roster, contact information — and click Save. Changes take effect immediately, no reinstall needed. Your veterans will see the updated information the next time they open the chatbot.
Privacy & Safety
How do veterans' conversations stay private?
Conversations are not stored or recorded. The chatbot does not collect personally identifiable information (PII) — it never asks for Social Security numbers, dates of birth, or medical records. Each conversation starts fresh and is not linked to any individual. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.
Does the chatbot give legal or medical advice?
No. VetNavigator provides general information only — not legal, medical, or financial advice. The chatbot clearly states this in its welcome message and throughout conversations. It's designed to educate veterans about what benefits exist and how to access them, then direct them to their VSO counselor or the VA for personal case support. See our Disclaimer for full details.
What happens when a veteran is in crisis?
If the chatbot detects any language indicating a veteran may be in crisis, it immediately stops all other conversation and displays the Veterans Crisis Line information: call 988 (press 1), text 838255, or visit VeteransCrisisLine.net. This is a non-negotiable safety feature that cannot be disabled or bypassed. It activates before any other chatbot logic.
Support
How do I get support?
Email us at ops@vetnavigator.ai — we're real people, not a ticket queue. Basic and Starter plans get email support. Standard plans get priority 24-hour response. Premium plans get same-day response plus quarterly strategy check-in calls. You can also reach us through the Support tab inside the chatbot itself.
